Under a Management Services Contract, Metito Utilities aims to optimise the operational and commercial performance of a downstream or fully integrated utility through improving the reliability of the water supply and wastewater collection systems, harnessing alternative energy where possible, ensuring sustainable commercial viability of the utility, enhancing management capabilities and providing knowhow transfer to the utility’s staff.
MUL conducts an extensive assessment and diagnosis of the current status of the utility, covering all the relevant areas such as operations and maintenance, commercial, accounting and financial, organisational structure and HR. Following this, a set of objectives, indicators and targets are established to then be monitored on a regular basis and a detailed work plan is defined outlining the set of actions to be implemented.
The subsequent activities are focused on designing specific programs and setting the plan of action for developing suitable processes, procedures, tools and systems. While programs and plans are being implemented, MUL manages all processes on daily basis. Special attention is always given to staff training to ensure effective and sustainable transfer of knowhow, competencies and improved performance.
